OVERVIEW

Born in Sofia, Bulgaria at the foot of the mountains, Evgeni was raised with respect for the surrounding nature. His passion for yachting evolved during the sailings with his family boat in the Black Sea and Aegean Sea.
After completing his studies at the Italian college in Sofia he followed his interest in design and architecture moving to study Industrial design at Istituto Europeo di Design based in Milan, Italy. His bachelor thesis was developed in collaboration with the yacht design studio Hot Lab for the shipyard Mondo Marine. The project for 26m Navetta won the possibility for the designer to continue his studies in the field of yacht design in the master program of IED Torino.
Completing successful studies in Torino he was offered an internship at the design department of Monte Carlo Yachts, based in Monfalcone, Italy. Evgeni worked as an exterior designer for some of the company's prototypes. Part of his projects were the boats MCY105, MCY80.
His eagerness for perceiving new skills brought him to Ljubljana-based studio J&J where he collaborated with the two brothers Japec and Jernej Jakopin. While working there, Evgeni took part in the Greenline 65 and Bavaria R55 projects.
His lifetime passion for boats accompanied by the skills and perception of the Italian style during the years resulted in good collaboration with the studio AM design of Alberto Mancini for about two years. During that time the young designer took part in successful projects as a layout specialist and exterior designer for the shipyards as Azimut, Mangusta and Fairline- prize-winning yachts as Azimut S10, Azimut S8, Azimut F78, Mangusta Oceano 50, Mangusta GS 33, Fairline T43 etc.
After the two years at AM design he started freelance consulting for the studio Canti & Partners. With the experience he began forming view on mega yachts and projects on a bigger scale.
Work and life experience brought him to his home town Sofia where he established his own studio Emotto. His philosophy about nature flow and italian style inspires his current work in the field of industrial and yacht design.
